Memories On the Move

  1. Natalie says:

So, my husband is totally in Houston today for a job interview! Maybe that meet up will be happening! 🙂

    • Lynnette says:

Yay! That would be awesome! Good luck to him! What’s the job for?

      • NatalieKW says:

He is a draftsman and designs foundations. He is just about done with his degree in Economics too. The job is more using his experience drafting. He would be the head of a drafting department and the go between of the project managers/builders and draftsmen. So, a step up from just the draftsman and also the manager experience to build the business side. It’s a huge company so their is potential for moving up too…which is great. Plus, lots more pay. When we bought our house last June, we never imagined we would possibly be selling so quickly, but houses in Houston are even cheaper than Fort Worth. So turning around and buying a much bigger house for not much more at all, is also a big Houston plus. You never know, it may not pan out, but maybe it will at the same time. Both of our families are here, so one one hand it’s hard to move…but on the other hand that’s part of the reason we want to go. Hopefully soon we’ll have an answer about today’s interview, but either way, Houston may be our future as there are a lot more draftsmen based jobs there than Fort Worth.

        • Lynnette says:

Oh neat! We’re actually excited Houston worked out since the last time Adam had asked about it, the answer he got was basically what we interpreted as “no chance in hell” haha, so when he ended up having an interview and offer in one day, it was a bit surreal. Like, is this really happening? Should be fun though, it’s a neat city.

          • NatalieKW says:

We like Houston. We’ve traveled there lots since it’s only four hours from Ft. Worth. Galveston will be the most devastating beach for you Californians, but my kids don’t know any better so it’s fine enough. There’s a lot of fun things to do there.

            • Lynnette says:

Haha, well where I’m from in CA, the beach means winter coats and long pants so I’m excited about a beach where it might actually be warm. We’ve been to Galveston once, the first time we went to Houston after we moved here, and it was fun.

  2. Meghann says:

Good luck with the move! Maybe we will run into eachother! I live in Katy!

  3. Good luck with the move. One of my goals is over the next couple of months is to prep each room in my new apartment so I can take some “glam” shots (read: tidy). I know that I will want to look back on what the place looked like from when I moved in in January – and if I don’t take them soon, it will be years later before I know it!

    • Lynnette says:

Haha, so true! My parents are in the process of selling their house and the photos for the listing are the cleanest I ever remember seeing it, haha.
