What Ziplining 140 Feet in the Air Taught Me About Challenging Creative Assumptions

Honestly, its these divided pocket protectors! I have no interest in Project Life as a daily, weekly or even monthly goal, but I bought all these sizes in hopes of catching up with my travels and early childhood pictures. I even bought small versions to do a mini book on my dogs. They are currently all organized and just waiting to be used. Unfortunately with all the ideas out there I have scared myself into believing I cannot have both simple and decorated share the same page. I even took a class last year on pocket design, she made it look so easy that I am now paralyzed with fear! Besides design, I am also a bit freaked out by having to think about what the back of the page will look like ahead of time. It’s a bit too much planning, and I LOVE planning! I will check back in, I am currently on a no craft spending goal for the next three months…so these pocket pages will get used!

If it makes you feel better, I bought a bunch of divided page protectors several years ago with the same idea – to use them for travel stuff – and I never got around to it either! LOL! I think for me travel scrapbooking in general is overwhelming (SO.MANY.PHOTOS) so I can see how adding the page protectors in there could add to the stress. If it helps, I don’t worry about the backs of the page protectors when I’m using them for Project Life – I figure I can “make it work” since the sizes are pretty standard. Maybe start with something small, like a single page layout done using one page protector and see how it goes. You can do this!

Hi Lynette, this is so totally cool. You rock girl! I loved to read your story :o)

  3. That is a lot of ziplines to conquer in one day. What a great story and a great connection to scrapbooking!

Right now a major challenge I have is the “minimalist” layout. To have a page with a few elements carefully placed that looks great and purposeful and not like my first digital layout with better shadows. I would love to go for this style for some of my travel layouts because my friends and family seem to enjoy the look of my less packed layouts and I often share trip layouts with them.
