The 28 at 28 List: Seven Days to Go

  1. Erin says:

You went to Davis?! Not that I went there – but I”ve been there! lol Love the green belt – wish all cities had something like that for walkers, runners and bikers!

Good luck with finishing all your projects! I actually have 12 pages left in my December Daily….but I don’t think I’ll finish it lol I have other fun around the home projects that I want to organize and complete 🙂

    • Lynnette says:

Yep! The hubby and I are both Davis grads – it’s where we met. We loved it there! Watching that video really made me miss it. Every time we head back to CA we always try to stop by to check out what’s changed and stuff. It’s such a cute little town.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with an unfinished December Daily album. I honestly don’t think I’d finish it if I hadn’t put it on my list in the first place – which is exactly why I put it on the 28 at 28 list because I knew that would happen, haha. But I am definitely glad to be down to the last week of this project. I’m feeling ready to move on to some new projects – home projects are definitely high on my list too!

  2. Holly Ann says:

Good luck with finishing up those projects!

The only projects I’ve got going are Kennedy’s baby book, and 2 dry erase board/helper things one for my grandparents and one to keep track of Kennedy’s meals when she starts eating baby food.

  3. priscilla says:

Can I at least say happy early birthday?? 😀

  4. rebecca (mamabee) says:

Good luck on your projects!! Right now I’m avoiding finishing up 2010 Week in the Life album… I have only 4 pages to go and I’m down to the wire on getting them done. A few months ago I got 2 shutterfly albums for liek $10 each – and they expire tomorrow! YIKES! What went from “oh I have plenty time” to “#@*(%^^” where did the time go? I got my Dec Daily sent out this morning… that one I actually had done and just waiting to be printed. But this Week in the Life… total mental block! *sigh* I suppose I better get at it… 🙂

    Happy early birthday, too!

    • Lynnette says:

Hahaha, at avoiding finishing, I know that feeling all too well. Hope you get your Week In the Life finished in time! I’m sure it’ll be awesome! And just think, you’ll be done in time to do it again in July! LOL!

  5. Colleen says:

I’m SO stealing that canvas idea, LOL! I’ve had a bunch of canvases lying around for FOREVER, and I’ve been itching to do something with at least 1 of them. I do believe that will make a fabulous project 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!!

I never feel like I can come up with 28 things (or however many) I can do/complete/what have you, but I always love the project. Perhaps next year. I think I’m going to do a “Summer 2011” album, a la Elise this year 🙂

    • Lynnette says:

Yes, steal the canvas idea! I’m sure you’d do something awesome with it! But make sure you share when you finish!

I’ve been eyeing that Summer 2011 album too, it’d be a really fun project. But I’m trying to figure out something to do to document my 29th year too so I guess it depends on what I decide to do for that. Lots of thinking going on around here for sure, haha.

  6. Colleen says:

I always over-think. Hence having half a dozen cavases of various sizes cluttering up my life for at least 18 months, lol. Probably way long than that too.
I think I’m gonna pull out a lot of my traditional supplies that I’ve been hoarding, and just DO SOMETHING. Doing something is half my battle sometimes. Of course, making time to do something OTHER than my assignments is my other problem, lol.

    • Lynnette says:

LOL, I overthink too – a lot. I need to be much better about just starting. And I totally agree, I get in that CT mindset and it’s tough for me to do something just for me when I know I have CT stuff I should be doing too. I’d probably do a lot more hybrid projects (mini-albums especially) if I didn’t feel everything I do needed to be for CT stuff. Definitely working on finding a better balance with this.

  7. Megan (glumirk) says:

My due date is June 1, and I’ve got a 20% off coupon for a Blurb book, that I bought $45 worth for $20 on Groupon, but the coupon ends May 31. I’ve been going through old blog articles like crazy this week. I’m to May 2009, and am pretty sure I’m just going to do through December 2009, but that’s a lot of posts and pictures to go, along with making cute clothes for the baby girl (an attempt to save money, but it’s turning out to be really fun and way cute), making the team shirts for DH’s Reach the Beach race this weekend, and attempting to keep a clean house and a happy toddler. Oh, and I should probably pack the hospital bags and make sure to have everything possible written down for the people who will be taking care of DS. I’m definitely feeling the crunch, and unfortunately I don’t know how much time I’ve really got, so I feel like I have to get it all done every single day. Until I simply can’t any longer because baby girl lets me know that she’s had enough of my craziness.

I wish I would have been thinking of this sort of project a year ago because it would be perfect to do a 25 at 25 list. Maybe I can make a list of new accomplishments that I have done this year, and see if I can squeeze any in before my birthday (June 25) with a newborn… I’ve actually gone out on quite a few limbs this year to do new things, so maybe there’s hope. What a good idea to set goals in a less intimidating manner than New Year’s (is it just me, or are New Year’s goals meant to be broken, so we all make them as obscure as possible?).

    • Lynnette says:

Ooo wow, you have a LOT going on! I’m really impressed! After doing the 28 @ 28 list I’m definitely sold on never doing a New Year’s resolution again. Thinking I might make some personal goals (since I already made some scrap goals last month) in honor of my birthday instead. Not being burnt out from all the holiday craziness works SO much better for me. I started P365 in June one year too and I loved that so much more than starting in January. Apparently I am not a January lover, LOL!

  8. Ginger_79 says:

Well, I want to finish a mini album with pictures from Belfast and I need to finally get back into doing the last months of my P365 album from last year. With anything else I just go as I please.

Oh, not true. I do have another goal this year. To buy and wear more dresses! I love these women in 50s/60s vintage inspired clothes, who always look so stylish and individual. So here’s to a braver fashion-me.

    • Lynnette says:

Ooo a mini album! Be sure to share, I need inspiration! haha. LOVE the goal of buying dresses! I would totally love to do that too but it’s hard to find cute ones I love that aren’t ridiculously expensive. Saw a cute one I loved a few weeks ago but at over $200 I didn’t want to even try it on for fear I would love it, haha.

      • Ginger_79 says:

Oh, I know the feeling. But if I had a US adress, I would go here:

Still trying to find a way to order a customized dress, I love that I could make it fit me for under 10 bucks.

        • Lynnette says:

Ya know, I had a dress from them pinned in Pinterest that I thought was super cute. It was this one. But their pricing made me kind of nervous that it was either really cheap quality or some kind of sketchy sweatshop situation, haha. But who knows, maybe it’s not!
